The drawing to the right is Helen’s impression of how the memorial will eventually look.

The Society has commissioned renowned Scottish artist, Helen Runciman, to produce a bronze sculpture of John that will be mounted on a granite plinth.

Helen is a full-time professional artist based in Denny, Stirlingshire, Scotland.  Her work ranges from small delicate watercolours to large mysterious oil paintings. Her subject matter is varied and, although now working mainly figuratively, her work encompasses landscapes, seascapes and street scenes.

In 2017 Helen was commissioned, by our association, to create a similar sculpture in memory of Private William McFadzean VC.

This sculpture was unveiled in Lurgan, the place of his birth, on Saturday 13th October 2018 by  Her Majesty's Representative, Lord Lieutenant for County Armagh, Nicholas James Alexander, 7th Earl of Caledon, KCVO.

The cold cast busts are approximately 8 inches in height and are miniature versions of the bronze sculpture of John that will be unveiled in 2021 in Laurieston, Falkirk.

The sculptures are priced at £120.00 each. Postage and packing for UK is £14.95, please contact us for overseas rates. Collection in Scotland can be arranged free of charge.
